Alice's Place
This
is a two bedroom bungalow (all rooms on one level) with full central heating,
that will accommodate 4 people. Children are welcome, but we do not allow
pets. We also do not allow smoking within the interior of the bungalow/gazebo.
The bungalow is fully furnished and equipped, with bed linen and towels
provided. Electricity, Gas and water are included in the price up to £30
per week. There is a landscaped garden, containing a large gazebo with
hot tub inside that will accommodate up to 6 people. The bungalow itself
is in a residential avenue running parallel with the Benfleet High Road.
The nearest shops are less than half a mile away and the nearest mainline
railway station is one mile away. Southend on Sea is approx 5 miles away
and london 35 miles. •
Bookings can be made by phone or e.mail prior to filling out the booking
form. The booking form can be sent via post or e.mail. All information
can be found via the website www.alices-place.co.uk or can be sent through
the post. Payment can either be made by cheque or bank transfer. • There is a block paved driveway suitable for a large car or van. There is a slight incline from the road to the bungalow. Additional parking is allowed on the street. Access to the front door is via a block paved pathway which runs the length of the bungalow to the rear garden. The path is 90cm wide and is illuminated at night by a motion sensor light. The gated entrance to the rear garden (75cm wide) is locked via chain and combination padlock, the number of which is posted inside the bungalow. Guests will be met on arrival. Main
Entrance • The front door is fully glazed and located on the side of the bungalow. This is hung on the left and opens inwards. The front door is preceeded by an outer porch 70cm x 103cm with a 14cm step and split wooden/glazed door that opens inwards. The step from the outer porch to the hallway is 18cm. The hallway is large with standard interior doors leading off to the two bedrooms, bathroom and lounge. The hallway contains a door mat, table with a guest book / pen, coat hooks and night light. The main light switch for the hallway is just inside on the right.

The bungalow is fully carpeted with a leather three piece suite in the
lounge with a seat height of 40cm. The lounge has two ceiling light fittings
with independant switches and one table lamp. • The hot tub is contained in a cedar wood gazebo which is 10 feet by 14 feet. The hot tub itself is 7 feet square and has a lifting, heat retaining cover. Access to the tub is via a cedar wood step and written instructions for use and health warnings are provided inside the gazebo. There are two chairs and a coat hook provided with switchable spotlights in each corner. The gazebo is surrounded by wooden decking with a step height of 30cm from the surrounding paving.
• There are two benches just outside the back door, with a further garden table and chairs on the decking with a step height of 30cm. The garden is on two levels. The first has a small lawn and block paving and is level. Two steps of 10cm lead to the second level lawn / decking and into the shrubbery which contains another wooden bench.

The main bedroom is located in the front of the bungalow just off the
hallway with a double bed of 4 feet 6 inches wide with a height of 50cm.
There is also an ottoman and separate chair for seating. There is one
ceiling light and two bedside lights plus one electric fan.

The bathroom light switch is located outside on the left of the entrance.
A timed extraction fan unit runs when the light is switched on. There
is also a shaver light positioned inside the bathroom. A portable lifting
frame is available on request to fit around the toilet. The toilet height
is 43cm and the pedastal wash basin is 77cm high. The bath is 56cm high
by 150cm long with an electric shower at the end. The bathroom is carpeted. •
The kitchen is located to the rear of the bungalow overlooking the garden
and is accessed via the lounge. The floor is carpet tiles with standard
height worksurfaces. Hot water is supplied by combination boiler on demand
with easy quarter turn taps. Lighting is via three ceiling spotlights.
Crockery is kept in the wall cupboards, cooking pots etc are stored in
the lower cupboards. •
There are two smoke alarms, one fitted in the hallway and one fitted in
the lounge adjacent to the kitchen. In the kitchen there is a basic first
